Default Need help making a build!

I recently started playing after like a 5 year break and my build is completely outdated and basically useless. I am currently running an SS build on my necromancer and want some help finding something better. I only have prophecies and factions (yeah that's how long it's been since I played) and would appreciate any knowledge on the subject because at this point I have none.

SS is still (imo) one of best builds for Necro.

having fact+proph sure limits alot for the Metagame. but still can make good builds for normal PvE

Id suggest look around PvX for tips and then just make someting u have fun with playing

Necromancers haven't really had any key skill changes for a long time so everything that was working then should work now, such as:

-Minion Masters and Bombers.
-Assassin's Promise to allow spamming of long recharge skills.
-Using Soul Reaping to pretend to be a Monk or Mesmer.
-etc...

Necromancers are the most versatile profession in the game, rivaled only the Ritualist, so you can easily find something effective for every situation, even with a restricted skill set.
